Meetings
Den Meetings
We meet every Monday 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm at New Covenant Assembly Church (1975 East Lake Dr., Casselberry, FL 32707). The Scouts meet in the chapel to say The Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath, and Scout Law. We make a couple of quick announcements then the Scouts break off into their Dens from 6:45 to 7:30. There the Scouts will participate in an activity that the Den Leader has planned for them.
Pack Meetings
Once a month we meet as a Pack. This is our time to celebrate what our Scouts have learned! We pass out awards, dens do a short skit or share an activity they have done that month. We also take this time to make sure everyone knows about the big events coming the next month. Pack meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month at New Covenant at 6:30.
Round Table
The Seminole Springs District holds a Round Table on the third Thursday of every month at New Covenant Assembly at 7 PM. This is where we get updates from Council regarding new activities, best practices for Packs and Dens, and information on training. All leaders and parents are encouraged to attend.
Leader / Parent Meetings
Pack Leaders meet on the Friday immediately following RoundTable (usually the 3rd Thursdays) for planning of all of our upcoming activities. Locations will vary, but we will keep our information updated. All parents and kids are welcome.
Cost
Registration Fees
The annual fees for Pack 251 are $175. This fee is collected in October / November and covers registration, insurance, awards and some event costs for the following calendar year (January thru December).
FEES ARE GOING TO CHANGE: https://pack251.com/the-cost-of-scouting/
Weekly Dues
As part of helping Scouts grow and learn responsibility, Den Leaders collect two dollars from the Scout each week. This helps the leader offset the cost of craft materials and other items required while Scouts work on their advancement.
Fundraisers
We offset a lot of costs for camping, pack activities, and banquets with fundraisers. We have two fundraisers, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Popcorn is sold from August to December. Scout Camp Cards are sold from February to April.
Communication
We use TroopTrack to track your Scout’s advancement, awards and activities. Our official pack calendar is kept there, with easy linking to your phone. You will also receive a lot of communication from our leaders from there, including event reminders and upcoming den activities. Please register and get linked up to your child as soon as possible. Contact Sean Esler if you have any problems.
